Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible

The provider of Noter AI named in the Terms of Use is responsible for your data. Contact: support@noterai.net.

The full Noter AI Privacy Notice covers the phone apps, the website and the web app. This page is a short version for the web app, with what is special to it.

2. What the web app processes

When you use the web app, we process:

• Your account: your email address, your name if your sign-in gives it, and your Apple or Google account identifier when you sign in with Apple or Google.
• Your audio: recordings you make in the browser and audio files you upload.
• What we make for you: transcripts, speaker labels, summaries, titles, and your chat questions and answers about your notes.
• Your plan: whether you have Premium, which plan, and its dates. Payments on the web are taken by Paddle. We never receive your card details.
• Technical data needed to run and protect the service: your browser type, your language and theme choice, and your IP address (see section 4).

3. What we do with it

We use your data to give you the service: to sign you in, to turn your audio into notes, to answer your questions, to check your plan, to keep the service safe, and to answer you when you write to us.

We do not sell your audio, transcripts or notes. We do not use them for advertising. We do not use them to train AI models.

4. Protection against abuse

To stop automated abuse of the free plan, the web app uses a Google service (reCAPTCHA) that checks that requests come from a real browser. It sends information about your browser and device to Google.

We count requests per IP address for a short time. We do not store the address itself: we store a keyed code made from it, which changes every day and is deleted after a few days.

5. Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs:

• A cloud hosting and database provider: runs sign-in, stores your account, notes, transcripts and audio, and runs our servers.
• A speech-to-text provider: receives your audio and returns the transcript.
• An AI model provider: receives your audio or transcript and your chat questions, and returns summaries and answers.
• A subscription-management provider: keeps track of your plan. It receives your account identifier and email address.
• Paddle: the reseller and Merchant of Record for purchases on the web. It takes the payment, handles tax and sends receipts, under its own privacy policy.
• Apple and Google: handle Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, and purchases made in the App Store and Google Play, under their own privacy policies.
• A web hosting provider: serves the pages of the web app.

6. Cookies and browser storage

The web app uses only what it needs to work: a cookie for your language, a cookie for light or dark mode, and browser storage that keeps you signed in. The abuse protection in section 4 and the Paddle checkout may set their own cookies. The web app has no advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your notes, transcripts and audio until you delete them or your account. When you delete a note, we delete the note, its transcript and its audio. The full notice explains backups and the records we must keep for tax and legal reasons.

8. Where it is processed

Our providers process data in several countries, including the United States and Saudi Arabia. The full notice explains the safeguards for transfers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to how we use it. Write to support@noterai.net from the email address of your account. We answer within 30 days.

10. Children

Noter AI is not for children under 13. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, people under 16 need the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: support@noterai.net.
